This policy applies to personal data processed through this website and has been written in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
2. General principle: the calculator does not send your data anywhere
The data you enter in the calculator (weight, height, age, biological sex, activity level, goal, diet style and the optional name) is processed only in your browser. It does not travel over the internet, never reaches any server of ours, is not saved in any database and is not shared with third parties. When you close or reload the page, it is gone.
The PDF you can download is also created on your own device by a JavaScript library that runs locally. The resulting file is saved on your device and never passes through our systems. We know you are entering data about your body, and we designed the tool precisely so that we never have to hold it.

4. Data you enter in the calculator
As explained above, this data is neither collected nor stored. There is no form that sends it, no network request that transmits it and no copy on our servers. We do not keep it in your own browser either: it is not saved between visits.
Two practical points apply, as with any computer: the PDF you download stays on your device and you decide what to do with it, and if you use a shared device it is a good idea to close the tab when you are done.
5. Email and newsletter
If you write to the published contact address, we will process the data in your message only to reply and handle whatever arises from your request. The legal basis is your consent, given by sending us the email, and we will keep the conversation for as long as needed to deal with it and then for the applicable legal limitation periods.
If this site ever offers a newsletter sign-up form, it will only ask for your email address and, optionally, your name to personalize messages. In that case:
- Subscribing will require a clear, affirmative action on your part (ticking the relevant box); it will never be pre-ticked.
- Your email will be used only to send you content about fitness, sports nutrition and updates to the tool, which may include affiliate links or clearly identified commercial messages.
- You can unsubscribe at any time, free of charge, using the link at the bottom of every message or by writing to the contact address.
- We will not give your email to third parties for their own marketing, and we will not sell it.
Messages may be sent through an email marketing platform acting as a data processor, under a contract that complies with Article 28 GDPR.
6. Browsing data and hosting
Like any website, the server hosting VOLKAR Fit automatically logs technical information about the requests it receives: IP address, date and time, page requested, response code, browser and operating system. These logs are used to keep the service running, detect problems and prevent abuse, based on the controller’s legitimate interest, and are kept for a limited time.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages service), which acts as a data processor and handles this data according to our instructions and applicable law.
7. Advertising: Google AdSense
This site may be funded by advertising. For that we use Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) that places ads on our pages.
If you accept advertising cookies, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to:
- Show you ads and decide which ones fit best based on your past browsing on this and other sites.
- Measure ad performance, limit how often you see each ad and avoid showing you the same creative repeatedly.
- Detect ad fraud and invalid traffic.
In doing so, Google may process data such as your IP address, cookie identifiers, device and browser information, and data about how you interact with ads. Google acts as an independent controller for that processing; you can read its terms on Google’s advertising and cookies page and in its privacy policy.
If you decline advertising cookies in our banner, the personalized advertising scripts are not loaded and you can keep using the calculator as normal. Non-personalized ads may be shown instead, based only on the page content and context, not on a profile of your browsing.
You can also manage your ad preferences directly in Google’s ad settings or opt out of interest-based advertising from many providers at Your Online Choices.

8. Retention periods
- Calculator data: not kept; it disappears when you close or reload the page.
- Cookie consent: stored in your browser for up to twelve months, after which we will ask again. You can delete it sooner by clearing the site’s data.
- Email enquiries: for as long as needed to handle them and then for the legal limitation periods.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
- Technical logs: the limited period set by the hosting provider for security and maintenance.
- Third-party cookies: the periods set by each provider, listed in the cookie policy.
9. Recipients
We do not sell, rent or share personal data. Only the providers needed to run the site may access data, as processors or independent controllers as the case may be: the hosting provider, the email or newsletter platform if one is used, and the Google AdSense ad network as described above.
Data may also be disclosed to public authorities, judges and courts when there is a legal obligation to do so.
10. International transfers
Some of the providers mentioned, particularly those related to hosting and advertising, belong to groups with infrastructure outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. These transfers rely on the mechanisms in Chapter V GDPR: the adequacy decision for the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission together with any necessary supplementary measures.
11. Your rights
As a data subject, you can exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access: know what data about you we process, why and who it is shared with.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed or you withdraw your consent.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest, including advertising profiling.
- Restriction: ask us to pause processing while a challenge is being checked.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format, or ask us to send it to another controller.
- Withdrawal of consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
To exercise them, write to hola@volkar.app saying which right you want to exercise and attaching a document that proves your identity. We will reply within one month of receiving your request, which may be extended in the cases provided for in the GDPR.
If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, Spain — www.aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
12. Minors
This website and its tool are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly request or collect personal data from children under 14. If you are a parent or legal guardian and find that a child in your care has given us data, write to us and we will delete it without delay. Regardless of data protection, the calculator is not suitable for minors who are still growing, as explained in the legal notice.
13. Security measures
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information: encrypted HTTPS connections, keeping site components up to date, data minimization by design (deciding not to send calculator data to any server is, in itself, the main security measure) and limiting access to the contact mailboxes. No system is 100% infallible, but we work to reduce risks in proportion to the nature of the service.
14. Changes to this policy and contact
We may update this policy to reflect legal or technical changes or changes in the services we use. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its last update date. If a change substantially affects how we process your data, we will announce it clearly on the site.
